To let the students be more familiar with the words 突然 and 身上都是, we used the story line of Chinese Level I but we take out some pinyin first for students to recognize Chinese characters. Students took turned to read the story with some pinyins missing first.

有yǒu一個gè男nán孩hái。

他tā喜xǐ歡huan在zài樹shù上shàng睡shuì覺jiào。

一yì天tiān，他tā爬pá到dào樹shù上shàng睡shuì覺jiào。

突tū然rán，下xià雨yǔ了le，下xià大dà雨yǔ。

男nán孩hái身shēn上shàng都dōu是shì水shuǐ。

有(yǒu)一個(gè)男(nán)孩(hái)。

他喜(xǐ)歡(huan)在樹(shù)上睡(shuì)覺(jiào)。

一天，他爬(pá)到(dào)樹(shù)上睡(shuì)覺(jiào)。

突(tū)然(rán)，下雨(yǔ)了，下大雨(yǔ)。

男(nán)孩(hái)身(shēn)上都(dōu)是(shì)水。

有一個男孩。 他喜歡在樹上睡覺。一天，他爬到樹上睡覺。

突然，下雨了，下大雨。
男孩身上都是水。

After we had some students these and then we took more pinyin out and students read aloud, and then we took all the pinyin out and students aloud. Later we had students write down the story with pinyin by looking at the Chinese characters on a piece of paper. And then we TPR the story named 海水髒了。The teacher first said the story in Chinese and the students chorally translated into English. The teacher did the motions while the students said in Chinese. And the we did the TPRStorytelling circling questions. And then we did the time-reading 3 minutes to read the story two times for the goal.

John在(zài)海(hǎi)灘(tān)上(shàng)吃(chī)冰(bīng)淇(qí)淋(lín)。突(tū)然(rán)，他(tā)的(de)貓(māo)跳(tiào)到(dào)他(tā)的(de)身(shēn)上(shàng)。冰(bīng)淇(qí)淋(lín)弄(nòng)到(dào)了(le)貓(māo)的(de)頭(tóu)上(shàn)、臉(liǎn)上(shàng)和(hé)身(shēn)上(shàng)。冰(bīng)淇(qí)淋(lín)也(yě)弄(nòng)到(dào)了(le)John的(de)襯(chèn)衫(shān)、褲(kù)子(zi)和(hé)鞋(xié)子(zi)上(shàng)。John和(hé)他(tā)的(de)貓(māo)身(shēn)上(shàng)都(dōu)是(shì)冰(bīng)淇(qí)淋。他(tā)們(men)很(hěn)髒(zāng)。他(tā)們(men)需(xū)要(yào)洗(xǐ)澡(zǎo)。

現(xiàn)在(zài)，John不(bù)髒(zāng)了(le)，他(tā)很(hěn)乾(qián)淨(jìng)。John的(de)貓(māo)也(yě)不(bù)髒(zāng)了(le)，它(tā)也(yě)很(hěn)乾(qián)淨(jìng)。他(tā)們(men)都(dōu)很(hěn)乾(qián)淨(jìng)。 他(tā)們(men)很(hěn)高(gāo)興(xìng)。可(kě)是(shì)，海(hǎi)灘(tān)上(shàng)的(de)人(rén)不(bù)高(gāo)興(xìng)，因(yīn)爲(wéi)現(xiàn)在(zài)海(hǎi)水(shuǐ)髒(zāng)了(le)。
