8th Period: We actually went over to Syracuse Elem and read our books to the kindergarteners in the Chinese immersion program. Many of our students were amazed by just how good the kindergarteners are with the Chinese language. The Kindergarteners enjoyed the reading with our students and watching/participating in the skits with them.

Periods 1,2 & 3: Students prepared with their cultural presentations presented to the class. After presentations we prepared our personal introductions. We hope to showcase our Chinese ability at the 6th grade registration night on March 14.

Period 8: We went to the cooking room to cook tian suan ji 甜酸鸡 Sweet and Sour Chicken. Using the following vocabulary words we used the recipe to make the dish.

Afterwards we prepared to put on a skit for the kindergarteners at Syracuse Elem. The content of the skit includes pages from our Chinese New Years books.
